The Lord Jesus Christ has given His Church the Great Commission to make disciples (Matt 28:19-20). For San Marcos (SM), this means our local church is to pursue others for God’s kingdom primarily in eastern Santiago. In turn, the church is exploring a partnership with Operation Mobilization (OM), a parachurch evangelical Christian ministry that seeks to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to challenged and unreached people.
Beginning in April 2024, volunteers will begin working with OM’s staff to minister to at risk kids, ages 4-12. Either the 2nd or 4th Saturday of each month, the combined OM and SM team will spend the day with these children to build relationships and make the Gospel of Jesus Christ tangibly present.
